CORONA VIRUS UPDATE

Due to the threat of the Corona Virus, Raleigh County Federal Credit Union along with the Beckley VA Medical Center will be implementing the following policy effective Thursday, March 26, 2020 until further notice.

All members that are not employees of the Beckley VA Medical Center will be permitted access to the Credit Union office between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Members need to enter the hospital thru the emergency room entrance ONLY and go thru the screening process which will include your temperature being taken.  Any member that does not pass the screening process will be refused entrance to the hospital. NO children under the age of 16 will be permitted into the hospital. Please limit the number of persons coming to the Credit Union to only those that are necessary to complete the transaction. If you are sick, please do not come to the Credit Union or the VA Medical Center.

VA employees are asked to access the Credit Union in the morning 8:00 am – 10:00 am and afternoon 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

Members have access to their account via online banking 24/7.

We want to assure you that your Credit Union will be doing everything within our power to meet your financial needs and make this time as stress free as possible.

We Will Never Ask…

  • Raleigh County Federal Credit Union will never ask for any personally identifiable information from you via methods such as email, text message, phone calls etc.
  • Many of the fraudulent communications that you may receive could contain misspelled words, inaccurate information, or other clues that you can use to recognize that the communication is not from Raleigh County Federal Credit Union.
  • If the communication you received seems “too good to be true” it probably is.
  • Criminals may use time as a method of influencing you to providing information to them. For example, they may send a text message to your phone indicating that your debit account has been suspended due to fraudulent activities, and to call a certain phone number to have it re-established.
  • When you receive a phishing email, text, etc. you can ignore them. If you want to validate the legitimacy of a communication that is very compelling you can:
    • Review Raleigh County Federal Credit Union’s web site for messages about the attack
    • Visit or call the credit union to validate that your account is still intact
